although的用法
1.连词
“虽然”引出让步状语从句
Although it was late，she went on working.
虽然天色已晚，但她任然在工作。
Although the coat is expensive，it lasts forever.
虽然这件大衣很贵，但是很耐穿。
2.在让步状语从句中省略与主句相同的主语和be动词
Although （he had been） ill，he passed the examination.
虽然他一直生病，但还是通过了考试。
Oxygen, although (it is) plentiful in the earth’s crust , is not in a free state.
虽然氧在地壳中含量丰富，但却不是处于游离装。
3.though连接让步状语从句的倒装
Child though he is，he knows much.
虽然他是一个孩子，却懂得很多。
Fail though he did，he could never give up.
尽管他失败了，但他永不言败。
4.“可是”，位于全局后面，though前有逗号。
It is cold，though it doesn’t rain.
天气很冷，可是没下雨。
Cotton has weight，though it is very light.
棉花有重量，可是它很轻。
5.as though / even though
They acted as though nothing had happened.
他们装得好像什么都没发生。
He has given you more help，even though he wasn’t free.
尽管他很忙，他还是给了你很多帮助。
